Fishing Guide Empty
PostSubject: Fishing Guide   Fishing Guide I_icon_minitimeThu Jun 04, 2009 4:04 pm

This guide is in progress and is designed for the most efficient and cost effective way of leveling. This guide will be used for both MEMBERS and NON MEMBERS as the methods are the same, although there will be a member split for those who are under the benefit of membership.

**Location Pictures and Skillcape video will be posted soon**

What you will need

Small net x 1
Fly Fishing Rod x 1
Feathers x 10k+
Lobster Pot (optional) x 1

Level 1-25

Begin Leveling your fishing at Draynor Village by the Willow Trees. Using your Small net begin catching Shrimp and later anchovies will be caught when your fishing level is high enough. Continue this method till you can fish Cod(23)/Pike(25), although i suggest going a few levels past the minimum requirement to catch cod/pike as this will make catching and leveling faster.
It may seem useless to run to the bank and deposite Shrimp and Anchovies, but it is faster then dropping, and can be used to level your cooking if it is low, or sold at the Grand Exchange to make a little bit of cash to buy more feathers.

Level 25-76

Here is where fishing becomes progressivly slower...
Here you will be leveling over 50 levels and reaching one of the major points in fishing. you will catch a large amount of cod and pike and it is suggested to make money to run to the bank and take the 3 minute walk there and back, it will become useful in the future.
Your fishing location will be east barbarian village (varrock side). Here you will fly fish from level 25 to level 76. This may seem daunting but its the fastest method. Once again it is your best interest to save every single fish you catch. they can be sold at the grand exchange for spare cash, and you can buy more feathers. also if your plan is cooking, you can cook all your fish while taking a break from fishing.
**the best way to keep moral up is too continue fishing tell you have reached 2-3 level gains for 3k cod and 3k pike then sell or cook then continue to fish**

Level 76-99

now here you have 2 options, 1. continue to fish pike and cod till you reach level 99 or start fishing lobsters. here i will weigh the pros and cons

Pike/cod
Pros: Faster xp
Cons: less money made over time

Lobsters
Pros: More money, sells fast
Cons: Slower xp

continuing with the pike/cod method just continue to fish for pike and codand banking in edgeville and running back down, selling or cooking

as for the lobsters, if your a member, you can access the fishing guild at lv 68 and start fishing for lobsters there and banking then cooking/selling.

if your a non-member, you can head to a world where there a people training thier cooking or buying raw lobsters and start fishing then when you get a load trade someone or donate them to them or run backand forth making sure u have 30gp with you every time you head to karamja.

Level 90+ (other option)
at level 90 A member can effectivly catch sharks and lobsters to make cash, and make decent XP although this is slightly slower then the cod/pike method, you make a substantal amount of cash compaired to the cod/pike method (roughly 30% more per load)
